About this field guide

Who writes the field notes?

Independent publishing, traceable sources and clear limits on what has been checked.

Editorial ownership

Deep Dish Dungeon Field Notes is the editorial publishing identity of this independent guide site. Articles are credited to that name. The site is not affiliated with the developers or publisher of Deep Dish Dungeon.

Research and drafting use AI assistance. Each guide identifies the material used to support its answers, including original videos, developer replies and third-party data. For the current backpack and pouch guide, we reviewed selected video scenes and written sources; we did not independently playtest the game.

How sources become a guide

  1. Start with a specific player problem. Keep the question and the game's platform or version in view rather than filling a generic guide outline.
  2. Trace claims to their source. Link original footage at the relevant timestamp, developer responses or the data page used. A third-party extraction is labelled as such.
  3. Separate a visible result from a report. A crafting-completion message can support an observed outcome. A spoken comment, a recipe panel or another player's proposed fix has a different evidential limit.
  4. Record the limits. One chest in one recording does not prove a guaranteed drop. An unmeasured movement penalty is not a numerical modifier. Unknown upgrade stacking remains unknown.
  5. Keep publication, source checks and edits separate. “Published” records when the guide first became public, not when a private draft was made. “Updated” records an editorial change to the page; “sources checked” records the evidence-review date. A newer page date does not claim that the game was retested.

The backpack and pouch source notes list the footage, recipe tables and original community threads. The linked source remains the reference if an update changes the game's behavior.

Checklist, video and privacy

The ingredient checklist saves your selected upgrade, Workbench setting and checked ingredients in this browser's localStorage. The page does not send those checklist values to a game account or a site database. Reset clears the active list; clearing this site's browser storage removes saved checklist preferences.

The optional video player loads a third-party YouTube player only after you select its play button. Following a YouTube or other external source link takes you to that provider, whose own privacy practices apply.

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, referral sources and page interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies and sends usage information to Google. Our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization; the site does not include advertising tags. Hosting access and request handling are provided separately by the hosting platform. This description covers the guide's checklist, video and analytics features.
